CrossFit is a form of high intensity interval training mixed with strength and conditioning workouts that are made up of functional movement performed at a high intensity level. These movements are actions that you perform in your day-to-day life, like pushing, pulling, jumping, squatting, etc.
In other words, we take the basic movements you do every single day whether you realize it or not, and we train your body to do those movements more efficiently through exercise!
Many workouts incorporate movements you do every day. Some of those movements are as simple as squatting, stepping up on various heights, jumping over or onto a heightened surface, even falling down and getting up fast (burpees :) )! These basic movements are incorporated with weights or bands to add resistance to make you stronger and more efficient!
Many of the workouts will help you build strength and cardio endurance! Most of the classes will have a warm-up portion, a strength portion (where you will learn and execute olympic wightlifing techniques), and a workout of the day (WOD). Every class is designed to help you get stronger and build endurance!
